Second Chance Love by M. Robinson

I really enjoyed this book, despite the fact that it starts with a dynamic that usually isn’t my favourite. They definitely had the angry banter down pat, and the pain of their past permeated every moment of the conflict.

Caleb’s tortured situation, and the reality of what happened were so entertaining and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. And I really loved how much everyone had to lose. There’s nothing better than an angsty messy couple in a romance, in my opinion.

I did think the flip from angry banter to sweet, loving partner was a little too sudden and shocking for me, especially as we were seeing things from his perspective the whole time. I also had a couple moments of confusion about when things were happening. It is possible my not having read other books in the universe is causing some of this confusion, though.

Despite the sudden, unexplained shift, I did enjoy the story and felt that the couple had plenty of mess to overcome. If you are a fan of the author, angst, second chance romance, hate to love, or millionaire romance, I’d definitely recommend this one.

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes a standalone second chance romance.

Falling for my brother’s best friend didn’t just break the rules.

It also broke my heart.

For years I saw the way he looked at me—conflicted. Like he wanted me, but taking me was forbidden.

Until one night, we got drunk and broke all the rules. Here I thought this was finally our time to be together. Never did I think he wouldn’t remember.

Now there I was, sitting in the back of the church. Watching the man I love…

Marry someone he didn’t.

Little did I know, I’d end up his nanny. Having to look at his handsome face every day was the worst kind of torture. This time, he was off-limits, and I was trying to decide if I still loved him…

Or hated him.

For making me feel this way.
